2022 Awards

LX has had another remarkable year full of innovation and groundbreaking achievements. LX would specifically like to highlight the Andromeda, a tracker that forms part of INCYT’s network of tracking devices.

The Andromeda is an industry-defining, battery-powered tracker that uses hybrid connectivity between the LTE-M network and a direct-to-satellite fallback where LTE-M isn’t available. It enables accurate, reliable tracking of assets and goods across a supply chain, even in areas with no cellular connectivity. This is next generation tracking, realised now.

LX created the Andromeda by combining the best parts of the Polaris, and collaborated with Myriota on the Antenna design for this device. The team at LX wanted to create a device that enabled efficient satellite tracking for companies big and small in a cost and power efficient format.

The Andromeda Tracker won three awards in 2022. The first award was a good design award in the commercial and industrial products category at the Australian Good Design Awards. The second award was a silver award at the Sydney Design Awards in the Commercial and Industrial product design category. Finally, the Andromeda was awarded the winner of the esteemed Business and Industry Solution of the Year Award at the NSW iAwards.

The criteria for these awards were creative and innovative designs for either a component or overall product. This could include new versions of an existing product. Consideration was given to aspects that relate to human usage, aesthetics, selection of components and materials, and the resolution of assembly, manufacturing and the overall function.

LX is immensely proud of the efforts of all teams involved in the planning, engineering, and production of this device.

The Andromeda successfully provided an option that answers the challenge of cellular ‘dark spots’ across a supply chain where other trackers cannot perform. Built to last and easy to set up, simply install the Andromeda on a vehicle, container, or similar asset, and its GPS location can be viewed on the INCYT app at any time, from anywhere.
