How does it work?

By contacting the LX team for an obligation-free discussion, we can make your ideas real as well as scale their capability. Just share some of the key points of your project, and we can prepare a roadmap for the launch of your product. 

This includes an initial workshop (approximately half a day), working with key LX departments to identify your unique project needs. Followed by preliminary research and assessments, to then produce a finalised proposal inclusive of engineering timelines.

Success Story

A next generation Koala Tracking System, the K-Tracker, was designed from scratch by the LX team.

Endeavour Veterinary Ecology (EVE) came to LX with an existing prototype collar which was not working. Historically, these kinds of devices have been bulky devices that were not easy to use, and did not offer near real-time monitoring. EVE wanted a product that was safe, reliable, and easy to use.

Following one initial consultation with EVE to understand their wants and needs, LX had produced the 2nd generation architecture of the device that is now the K-Tracker. Upon confirmation of this design, the K-Tracker was sent to our manufacturing department for production. The koalas would then be brought in to EVE and be custom fit with one of the trackers.

LX worked with EVE to produce this device that is robust and light. This GPS tracker provides near-live tracking, dual sensor activity logging with motion profile analysis capabilities, orientation analysis, high-G and free fall detection as well as automatic low activity email report generation. 

Created in collaboration with EVE to drive key performance results in the monitoring and conservation of wild Koala populations, this device integrates with the powerful INCYT platform. Powered by the LX IoT Cores, LX designed the K-Tracker from strategy to scale, including electronics hardware design, embedded firmware development, and software web application.

This device also won a design award in 2021 at the 2021 Good Design Awards in the commercial and industrial design category.
